Sorry folks, but since you’re not clicking on my trades aka favorite free sites, I have to add a traffic trading script to my site.
What is a Traffic Trading Script?
TGP sites are around to make money. If a visitor looks at three or more galleries and doesn’t buy anything, chances are that visitor is never going to make a purchase so why not direct them to another site and get some traffic credit from the other site.
I know you’ve experienced it before. You go to a thumbnail site, you click on a few images and the gallery opens up as expected, but for some strange reason, every once in a while you’re directed to another website which may or may not direct you to another site. You take a look at the link, and the link looks ok, but you still went to the other site.
I know it sucks, but I have to do it or I’m not going to be able to build up my link trades with other sites.
By the way, I’ve heard some people refer to these trading scripts as traffic skimmers too.
TGPX is going to release their traffic trading script very soon, so I’m temporarily using a script from sloth-trader.
Most scripts have a free version and a paid version with the only difference being the amount of traffic that can be directed to other sites (skimmed). A typical trading script can cost as low as $100 to over $300. So far I’ve only tried sloth because it looked easy to setup and was easy to setup and it was also the cheapest of the paid scripts that I could find, although I didn’t try very hard to look.
Is it working? With the system turned off and relying solely on users clicking on my trade links, I wasn’t even in the top 100 of a popular TGP site. With the system on a few dozen pages, I’m now at position 76. This still isn’t that good, but it’s a start.
I don’t plan on leaving it on all the time, because I hate sites that do it and at first I vowed never to do it, but now it seems like a necessity to survive in this business, especially if you’re just starting out.
